Samsco RunDry (Boil-To-Dry) E2

The Samsco RunDry Evaporator is a highly efficient and reliable method of disposing of wastewater, and eliminating hauling of residual liquid waste. Like all Samsco units, RunDry evaporators are manufactured using only the highest quality components, all geared toward minimizing maintenance and operating cost, and providing many years of trouble-free service.

RunDry E2 Evaporator Details:

Samsco’s RunDry Model E2, is an electrically heated, fan-induced exhaust style wastewater evaporator with the following features:

  • Evaporation rates of approximately 2 gallons per hour. (Auto rate based on 70°F liquid, results may vary based on the amount of contaminants in the water.)
  • Heat Source: 240V, 1 Ph, 5kW electric heater (other voltages available)
  • The unit is a manual fill, run-to-dry style
  • The evaporation chamber is in an oil bath. The burner heats the oil. This design delivers heat on the bottom and all four sides of the evaporation chamber.
  • The unit can run dry without damage.
  • Draft induction steam exhaust fan.

Material of Construction:

The material of construction for all wetted parts and the exterior tank is 316L Stainless Steel, appropriate for most wastewater applications. For applications where high chlorides are present, we offer the option of an interior tank constructed of AL6XN, a chloride resistant alloy.

Insulation:

The tank, where the water is boiled, is lined with insulation rated for 2,000°F. There is an air space between this and the outer shell. Makeup air is drawn in at the base of the unit through this air space. This unique design allows the outer shell temperature to stay below 100°F and also pre-heat the exhaust vapors.

Available Options:

Auto Fill & Controls:

This includes a PLC, level sensor, and an influent pump. These components work together to maintain the level in the process tank when the controls are in the automatic mode.

Lift Out Sludge Trays:

These are stainless steel trays (optional CRA) with lifting handles. The trays cover the bottom of the water tank and have 4” high sides. When the evaporator is no longer fed fresh waste, water is boiled away and dry powder (or oily sludge) remains that settles into trays. The trays can be lifted out for easy dumping/cleaning.
