Samsco RunDry (Boil-To-Dry) WO40

The Samsco RunDry Evaporator is a highly efficient and reliable method of disposing of wastewater, and eliminating hauling of residual liquid waste. Like all Samsco units, RunDry evaporators are manufactured using only the highest quality components, all geared toward minimizing maintenance and operating cost, and providing many years of trouble-free service./p>

RunDry WO40 Evaporator Details:

Samsco’s RunDry Model WO40, is a stainless steel wastewater evaporator and includes the following features and components:

  • Evaporation rates of approximately 40 gallons per hour. (Auto rate based on 70°F liquid, results may vary based on the amount of contaminants in the water.)
  • Fuel Source: Waste Oil, Approximately 3.5 gph fuel consumption
  • Burner Type: 2 Ea Induced Draft, Electronic Ignition with fuel preheaters pre-piped/wired
  • Operates at 498,000 BTU's per hour (combined rate for two burners)
  • The unit is filled manually and runs as a batch.
  • The evaporation chamber is in an oil bath. The burner heats the oil. This design delivers heat on the bottom and all four sides of the evaporation chamber.
  • The unit can run dry without damage.
  • Draft induction steam exhaust fan.
  • Electrical Requirements: 120V, 20 AMP, 1 phase

Material of Construction:

The material of construction for all wetted parts and the exterior tank is 316L Stainless Steel, appropriate for most wastewater applications. For applications where high chlorides are present, we offer the option of an interior tank constructed of AL6XN, a chloride resistant alloy.

Insulation:

The tank, where the water is boiled, is lined with insulation rated for 2,000°F. There is an air space between this and the outer shell. Makeup air is drawn in at the base of the unit through this air space. This unique design allows the outer shell temperature to stay below 100°F and also pre-heat the exhaust vapors.

Ease of Cleaning:

Samsco’s unique design eliminates the cleaning problems frequently encountered with waste oil-burning appliances. The design utilizes two (2) burners; each firing into individual heat exchanger tubes that have “turbulator” inserts, maximizing heat transfer into the evaporator’s thermal fluid. The burners are mounted on a roll-away carrier system, making it simple for the operator to disconnect the fuel and electrical lines, and roll the burner assembly to the side, providing easy access to the heat exchanger tubes for inspection and cleaning.

Available Options:

Auto Fill & Controls:

This includes a PLC, level sensor, and an influent pump. These components work together to maintain the level in the process tank when the controls are in the automatic mode.
